Playing with the colours.

Clowns are awesome. There should be a circus area in the game somewhere. We could use Riptides Jester outfit.

If anyone wants to draw a clown outfit on it feel free.

There will be a location released in one of the later updates like this! It's going to represent a carnival, and will most likely be called The Carnivale. You must complete a quest with one of the NPCs in Henefer (the main city) and then you get access. Within The Carnivale there are various minigames, like mazes, hide and seek, the spike chamber, and combat games. Each will reward a new kind of currency and players will be able to buy special items, hairstyles, and pets from one of the NPCs within The Carnivale!

That first tree was my first (unfinished) attempt. I picked entirely the wrong colours for it, yeah.

We've decided not to use a palette. It's too limiting and no one here can make the trees look good with only 32 colors. Sorry but it's true.

If we use a palette we need to have more than 32 colors.

^ It's more than possible to make 32 colors work. In fact, 32 colors is a bit high for pixel art. Many artists use less.

I'd suggest at least trying a different palette before giving up on the idea completely. The game's colors will not be unified without one, unless the artists(s) are extremely good with colors naturally.

I'm not shooting down the idea and I definitely agree that the colors should be unified, biting still not convinced that the vibrancy and brilliance of queens art (which I think we can agree looks pretty good) can be brought out using only 32 colors. I would liked to be proved wrong because that's only my opinion.

Yeah it's definitely more versatile. But what can be done with it? That's what I think we all need to see examples of.
