I was showing one of my friends IRL the game. I dropped an item on the floor and he said he thinks it should happen a different way.

Current way:
- Click on item then drag outside of inventory and it falls to the floor where your character is standing

His Idea:
- Click on item then drag outside of inventory and it falls wherever your mouse is, and then gravitates towards your character.

Your friends idea would be more attractive, but I prefer the simplicity of the current way.

Gravitating to your character... means, a dropped item will suddenly appear on any randome location and then for mysterious reasons start to move and fallow a character? uh, what? sounds funny but pointless.

Or does he mean:
The mouse position will be calculated in the angle of 360 degrees and the item will end up on one of the 8 tiles around that character which would equal the degree of the angle?
So if your mouse is directly north or 22,5 decrees clockwise or anti-clockwise from perfect north, then the dropped item appears to the field north to your char, if this field is not blocked?

In this case I like that idea more, when an item appears aside a char, not only below one and you have to move before anyone can see you actually dropped anything.
