Hello guys! As you may know me already, I'm now in charge of the game's content design and many other aspects as well...

And well.. the game has been evolving, simplifying and growing at a rapid  healthy pace.

Its been hard taking over and trying to be as a good pixel artist as Queen, but im getting there.

Anyway some of the things I wanted to report are that..

-Aspen Village is now actually Aspen Island, which is bigger.

- Player avatars are receiving a dramatic overdo in both facial looks and possibly hair to look a bit more appealing and...

The new website is coming along great, I've finished all the major parts of the new website but now I need to go through every page and make sure I finished every small image, sprite and icon.

Sadly, Forumotion does not give database access to anyone nor will they give me the SQL export file, thus the new forum will have to start from scratch.

Once the new website is up, we will keep the Forumotion board up for one week to give you all a chance to gather your past information and belongings before we shut in down completely. Registration will be disabled on Forumotion once...

I know we are not moving at the pace everyone is hoping. I'd just like everyone to know that we're still making progress. So far, Hydracol and I have been collaborating with the new mapping program and working with player collisions. The first town is in progress along with the surrounding areas. In a nutshell, we are in line to create the first area!

We really appreciate those of you that have been checking in from time to time. I know how off-putting it is to encounter game development so unresponsive. We thank you for hanging in there and sticking it out. This WILL happen!

Hello, everyone!

Lately we've seen a slight delay in work. This is not because we are not working hard, it's just been behind closed doors - we didn't want to ruin any surprises or show content that's horribly unfinished that could be a bad first impression.

This is the reason we've not seen any alpha plays lately. We are looking for the artists to create more interior house sprites before we launch the game. If we launched it now, it'd just look very similar to the last time it was launched, since all that was added was coding and not much art.

Time to talk about one of my favorite aspects of this game: the unique class and ability system. Most standard RPGs will ask you to pick a class and kinda stick with it the whole way. OLO is a bit different.


The classes
- There are 3 main-classes: Power, Agility, and Arcane.
- Each of those main classes has multiple subclasses. (and with the first release of the game, there will only be one subclass per mainclass)

Hey again guys! I thought it was about due time for another update on development.

While Queen has been drawing some fabulous in-game art and Voo has been designing the GUI and its layout, I have been hard at work as well getting all of the back-end systems working.

As shown in some of the Alpha Tests, we currently now have a fully functional inventory system and equip system. As you might have noticed from the new banners on the front page, the game is undergoing a major graphic change. Absolutely everything in the game is getting redrawn for an improved look an I'd like to share what I've done so far.

With such a successful tune out for the April 26th v0.01 alpha test, we have decided to continue the alpha tests and increase their frequency. This means that there are more opportunities to get an early sneak peak.

The games development will be entering a phase called open development, in which all users are welcomed to help with development. If you are an artist, you can submit pixel art, and if you have suggestions or quests ideas you can of course do this as well, for example.

Greetings everyone.

The game's development has reached a point where it would be beneficial to me as a developer to begin distributing it as a playable Alpha Version. I can receive helpful feedback and the users so desperately wanting to test this project will finally get what they want!

I have posted a new article in the News and Events section outlining this in more detail.

Nearly all of the game mechanics are done. The only thing left is adding more content itself (quests, monsters, etc.). This is obviously an ongoing effort. But I plan to have 20 levels worth...
